IEEE Computer Society election article published in Computer magazine

As I announced here, the IEEE Computer Society election information has been published in the September 2009 Computer Magazine issue.

My biographical data and my position statement are on the last page of the article, at page 80 of the magazine, since within each category, candidates are listed in alphabetical order.

The position statements and biographies of the IEEE Computer Society's candidates for president-elect, first and second vice presidents, and Board of Governors positions in 2010 was published as follows:

Balloting Underway in Computer Society Election

IEEE Computer Society members are being mailed ballots and candidate information for president-elect, first and second vice presidents, and Board of Governors members. Members can vote by mail, fax, or online at https://www.directvote.net/ieeecs. Ballots must be returned by Monday, 5 October.

IEEE President-Elect candidates address Computer Society concerns

This could be interesting for all IEEE Computer Society's members. IEEE Computer Society election begins 10 August

The IEEE Computer Society election will begin on Monday, 10 August 2009.

Ballots, a brochure with candidate biographies and position statements, and a postage-paid return envelope will be mailed to eligible voters on that date. In addition, members who accept Society e-mail announcements will receive e-mail notification of the election during the week of 10 August. Members can vote via mail, fax, or on-line.

Candidate biographies and position statements will be posted on the election vendor website, Computer Society website and published in the September issue of Computer magazine.

Ballots must be returned no later than 12:00 noon EDT on Monday, 5 October 2009. Results will be known within a week after the election.
